Policy Changes:
Cash-and-Carry Sales, Angel Policy

September
13, 2012

As we mentioned earlier this year, we have been looking at some of our
policies and, based on your feedback, looking for ways to make running your
business easier. We are therefore pleased to announce two more policy changes,
effective immediately.

  • Cash-and-Carry Sales Policy: Our Cash-and-Carry Sales
policy is designed to prevent financial risk to our demonstrators by prohibiting
inventory loading. We have previously made the exception for
demonstrator-produced kits, allowing these to be produced and sold outside the
traditional ordering system. Based on your feedback, you would also like the
convenience of being able to sell adhesives you have on-hand to assist your
customers in more immediately completing their projects; therefore the new
exception to our Cash-and-Carry Sales policy will allow demonstrators to sell
adhesives outside the regular order fulfillment process.

    We'd also like
to clarify that current merchandise purchased for the purpose of resale in a
cash-and-carry sales method can be sold through in-person events, on a DBWS, or
on a personal blog or website. Sales of current merchandise through consignment
or internet auction sites (such as Etsy or eBay) are still prohibited, with the
exception of current catalogs. The Internet Auction Sites section of the
Internet/Website Policy has been updated with this clarification.

  • Angel Policy: The current policy limits the sale of printed
projects created using My Digital Studio to 150 items per calendar year. The new
policy states that the 150-item limit only applies to items printed outside of
Stampin' Up!'s printing services. When projects are printed through Stampin'
Up!'s printing services for resale according to the Angel Policy, there is no
limit to the number of projects that may be sold.

An updated version of the Demonstrator Manual has now been posted.
