Oh la la

By | August 5, 2009

I saw a card by  Kayleen Clements using a corset template a couple of weeks ago and knew I would be making it as soon as I could.  Here it is.

Corset

I used the  Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper for the corset because I liked the pattern.  I used the oval scallop punch (cut in half) for the frills at the bust line and the legs.  To get the holes even and straight down the center of the corset, I used the paper piercing tool and the mat pack.  I used embroidery thread for the lacing (color #3708).  You can either print the template directly onto the DSP or print it out on printer paper and then trace it onto a heavier card stock (I used a manila file folder), cut it out and then traced the pattern onto the DSP.

Here's the template in case you are interested.  Download corset template.pdf (18.1K)

So cute! Thanks for sharing the template. It’s huge. What % do you print it and onto what size piece of paper, please.

I’ve posted the website where you can get the template. It’s true to size. I don’t know what happened to my file to make it come out so big.

    Thanks for letting me know.

I’m so flattered that you cased my card — I absolutely LOVE your card. It is so sweet. I’m going to have to case your card now. I originally made the card for a customer who is into dark colors, vampires, etc., so I knew I had to make it dark, but I LOVE your color choices.
