From the Crypt

By | September 23, 2009

This is the last card from the Halloween Stamp Camp.  I think it's one of my favorite stamp sets though I am not usually into gothic.  I know that my granddaughter Felicia loves it!  How do you feel about this stamp set?  Is it something you would buy?

The image was stamped in black on Whisper White card stock and lightly sponged using Basic Black and Perfect Plum Classic Ink.  The sentiment is from House of Haunts (another favorite!).

  • Layer 1:  Base card – cut Perfect Plum card stock 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and fold in half using the bone folder for a sharp crease.
  • Layer 2:  Cut DSP to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
  • Layer 3:  Cut Perfect Plum card stock to 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
  • Layer 4:  Cut Whisper White card stock to 3 1/8" x 3 1/8".  Stamp image in Basic Black Classic and sponge lightly around image using Basic Black and Perfect Plum
  • Layer 5:  Using a scrap of Perfect Plum card stock, punch with the Key Tag punch
  • Layer 6:  Using a scrap of Whisper White card, punch with the Key Tag punch and stamp sentiment in Basic Black.  Lightly sponge around sentiment using Basic Black and Perfect Plum

I’m loving your cards, but, I’m not really a Halloween card sender. This set is not one I would purchase – just couldn’t see me using it. I think I would go for the pumpkins if I were to send any. Just love your ideas! Thanks for sharing with us.

OOOooo, cool card! I really like Halloween cards, but I don’t purchase Halloween sets because I’d have no one to send the cards to! If I did break down and get a set, though, this is the set I’d get. It’s a classy kind of spooky!

Great card! I like the designs in this stamp set, but it’s not a set I would normally buy. I’m more into the cutesy types of stamps. I bought the Twick or Tweet set:) Regardless, I’ve seen so many cool cards made with this stamp set and I love Halloween:)

Another great Halloween card. I tend to make more of the cute type but could see where those that go for creepy would like this set. Thanks for sharing. jmniffer

I like the bat and spider from the From the Crypt set and I love the House of Haunts set. I would probably buy them. Halloween is one of my fave holidays.

Like the card but I also go for the more cutesy Halloween stuff. Maybe because my kids are younger. Who’s to say what the next few years will bring.
