High Tide

By | February 11, 2017

When I saw this set, I knew that I would buy it.  It reminds me of California and the ocean I lived near my whole like until 25 years ago.  My son-in-law, Gary, is always posting pictures on facebook featuring the gorgeous California sunsets over the ocean and every time I see one, I get homesick.

High Tide-001

Today’s card is for my son-in-law, Gary and I’m using the High Tide Photopolymer stamp Set.

This set has two step stamping so I stamped the first lighthouse image in Basic Black Archival Ink and the 2nd step in Real Red Classic Ink.

The water was stamped with Pool Party Classic Ink – I masked the lighthouse to get the water as close to the lighthouse as possible.

High-Tide-3

The birds and greeting (from the Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set) were stamped with the Basic Black.  The dirt stamped with Soft Suede Classic ink and the grass with Always Artichoke Classic Ink.

Well, I’m back from a short pause.  My husband wanted to go and sit on the back deck and have a glass of wine and watch the full moon.  It’s 70 degrees which is so unusual for Northwest Arkansas and we wanted to take advantage of the weather.  It’s not too often you can sit on the back deck in February in the evening!
