Lovely as a Tree

Colors Used on this Project

Finally had a chance to make one of my all time favorite type of cards – Shabby Chic!  This type of card does not appeal to all people but it has always been my favorite.  I even used my favorite colors (blue & vanilla).

1-IMG_3074-002I used the all time favorite – Lovely as a Tree Stamp set.  The tree image was stamped with Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla Card Stock.  I then die cut an oval on a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of cardboard (comes as backing for our DSP) and used it to sponge Pool Party around the tree.  See picture on right for the part I used to sponge around the tree.

After it was sponged a die cut the tree (slight larger) so that I got the white border around the tree.

The background is from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack and the leaves are from the Botanical Builder Framelits.  I used a non-SU die to make the small roses.  Here’s a link to a video I made 4 years ago on how to make the mini roses – it still applies!

Love your car with the lovely as tree set—I was so lucky to find it at a garage sale–wood for $5 along with few other SU sets cheap–felt like it was Christmas. Saved your beautiful as want to make it. Thanks for sharing your cards with all. So many sets I see that I like but have to pick and choose which want first. Need to win the lottery and buy all that I love.
