Pink Elephant!

By | April 11, 2010

Good Morning Stampers!

Opener

I'm working on my box of goodies from the Summer Mini Catalog which I will be showcasing in the next couple of weeks.  I got sidetracked (very easy to do!) when I saw the cutest card by Michelle Singer on one of the yahoo groups.  It was in blue and featured the stamp set Animal Stories.  I decided to make one in pink because even I don't have anyone to give it to, I think pink and white are so girly and feminine.

Animal-Stories

Pink-elephant The main image was stamped on Whisper White card stock with Pretty in Pink Classic Ink.

The Sentiment sentiment (from the stamp set Little Angel) was stamped also with Pretty in Pink Classic Ink  It is from the Occasions mini catalog and only available until 30 April 2010.

Scallop-corner The 2nd layer under the main image is Pretty in Pink card stock – I punched the borders and corners using the decorative Scallop Trim Border (which will be available in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog) for a dainty look.  The corners were punched using the Scallop Trim Corner Punch.  This punch is in the Occasions Mini Catalog and sales period ends on 30 April 2010.  I don't yet whether it will be available in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog but I sure hope so.

Ribbon

The Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon was added as a final layer to give the card an elegant touch.  The button is from Button Latte Collection.

What do you think?  Isn't this just too stinkin' cute?

Thanks for stopping by today.

I love this card! So simple, yet so elegant. Thanks for the inspiration. The layout could be easily adapted for other holidays. Now I can make my first card with the scallop punches I just received. I’m so excited!

Very nice card — great for use as designed, but also adaptable for other occasions. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed the Little Angel set before.
