How to make your own texturz plate for your Big Shot

By | April 19, 2010

Good Morning Stampers

Opener

I was looking at DOstamping with Dawn's blog the other day and she showed how to make your own texturz plate for the Big Shot so I decided to try it.  I used the Tulipe Bigz Die because it's one of my favorite dies.

Tulipe-Die-Cut

What I Did:

  • To create the texturz plate, I glued two six by six inch pieces of the cardboard backing from the Designer Series Sentiment
Paper. I fed it through the Big Shot using the Tulipe Bigz Die and voila! I had my texturz plate!
  • The base card is Bashful Blue card stock folded in half.
  • The Naturals Ivory card stock (6 x 6) was fed through the Big Shot using my homemade texturz plate. After I cut it down to about 4 l/2" x 4 3/4", I punched out the corners using the Scallop Border Punch.
  • The sentiment was stamped with Bashful Blue Classic Ink on Naturals Ivory card stock and punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch
  • Adhere together as shown in photo.

Thanks for stopping by today.
