Hostess Gift of the Month

For today’s card, I used the Embellished Ornaments Stamp Set and the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits.

I wanted a vintage card so I used Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla.  To me those colors always shout Vintage!

To get the ombre look, I lightly sponged a 3″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock with Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink.  Then I worked on the top and bottom sponging more and more ink until I got the desired effect.

I used a piece of the left over sponged card stock (after die cutting the ornament) to die cut the ornament top.  The ornament was attached with a piece of Linen Thread.  The body of the ornament is not attached and can be moved around on the card.  I lightly spritzed on the upper right and lower left with the retired Color Spritzer Tool.
