Good Morning Stampers

Opener1

I think that Cherry Cobbler is going to be my "go to" color for Christmas.  I love it when paired with Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.

Welcome-Christmas copy

For today's card I used the Welcome Christmas Stamp Set.  Favorite scenes of Christmas in silhouette—decorating the tree, discovering stocking stuffers, and sledding through a winter wonderland—are just a few of the highlights of this set.

Image The main image was stamped in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla Card Stock.  I then sponged the edges to give it the aged look.  It was then matted with Chocolate Chip Card Stock with the bottom edge punched using the Scallop Trim Punch.  I recently order the Distressing Essentials Kit and am looking forward to using it because as you know, vintage cards are my favorite – absolutely favorite!

Ribbon The Cherry Cobbler layer was embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper Texture Embossing Folder.  The 1 1/4" Chocolate Chip Striped Ribbon is a quick and inexpensive embellishment for the card. The Antique Brad  adds to the vintage look.  I love these brads – they are designed to look like a vintage metal button but because they have the prongs, they are easy to attach to cards.

Opener The sentiment was stamped first in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla Card Stock and cut out with the paper snips.  It was then stamped in Cherry Cobbler and the words Season's Greetings cut out and mounted to Chocolate Chip Sentiment.  It might have been easier to color  the sentiment with two different color markers but I like the 3d effect.

Lovely card. I was planning to use Cherry Cobbler for Christmas too. My sweet tooth told me to pair it with Crumb Cake!
