Join us every Tuesday during the month of August for our $20 Tuesdays. We’ll explore some great options that you can create for $20 or under! These prices are based on the US price and do not include shipping and handling or tax.
I can’t help but feel excited during this time of year! Although the weather is getting colder and the days are getting shorter, autumn ushers in some wonderful things: changing leaves, the holiday season . . . and of course, college football!
For today’s $20 Tuesday, I thought I would take the opportunity to get ahead of the game—something I rarely do! Let me rewind just a little. As I was contemplating my next $20 Tuesday, I found myself flipping through the holiday catalog trying to mentally add things up in my head—when something caught my eye; as a matter of fact, I had to do a double take when I saw the price. It was the Stamp a Tag Kit.
Can I tell you how awesome this little thing is? All I could think of was giving this kit as a gift to a neighbor! Now it would have to be a very special neighbor as I don’t spend $11.00 on all my neighbor gifts, but I loved the fact that this little kit is gift-ready. I was also very excited to see ink in the kit. Can I tell you how hard I have to look to find an under $20 project with no ink? But now I have Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler! Plus, it came with enough gear to make 24 tags; that means I have a nice little adornment for presents or gifts for about 45 cents each!
Now the Stamp a Tag kit is cool in and of itself, but do you know what is even cooler? Adding the Naughty and Nice This and That Rotary Stamp! (Oh yes . . . I did!)
This just all of a sudden took my two stamp set tag kit to a 13 stamp set (without adding the number side of the rotary stamp)! So if you are keeping track, we are at:
$ 10.95 for the Stamp a Tag Kit $ 5.95 for the Naughty and Nice This and That Rotary Stamp
Grand Total $16.90
If you really want to add to your set, you could throw in the Pretty Presents Designer Tags for $2.50 and really bring your price per tag down, but I didn’t. FYI—if you did add that into your order, it would put you at $19.40. Just made it! 😉
Enough talk—here is what you really wanted to see . . . the tags that I made with my custom kit. My first two tags use stamps from the Stamp a Tag Kit.
While those are fun, I couldn’t stop there.
I am not sure how many of you have an Elf on the Shelf, but I thought that our elf (Chippy) may need to bring notes back from Santa every now and again—so I made him some custom tags. Enter the rotary stamp!
Once I did that, well . . . my imagination just took over. Using a little bit of masking, I was able to make the stamps below.
I continued to find new uses for the rotary stamp as I went along. Here are a few more samples:
There you have it! I made 11 of my 24 tags in just a few minutes . . . and I love how they turned out!
What do you think? How might you use the Stamp a Tag Kit this year? Let us know below.
We hope you have enjoyed our $20 Tuesdays! Let us know in the comments section if you would like to see more of these in the future!
